Cannon Beach Maternity Session

It has been a dream to do a shoot in Cannon Beach, OR. Oregon is my home state, born and raised, in fact I was born on the Oregon coast and spent most of my life there.

I have a love-hate relationship with the Oregon coast.

If you have ever lived on the coast there you know what I am talking about. For the most part it is absolutely beautiful but it rains, A LOT, and with all that rain and gray it can get depressing, but in the summer the sunsets are absolutely breathtaking! This past Thursday on a trip to Seaside with my family I got to shoot a Maternity Session in Cannon Beach which is only about 10-15 minutes south of Seaside. The PNW coastline can be really finicky with its weather, while it was sunny in Seaside and north of Seaside that day the forecastsaid it was raining just south of Seaside where Cannon Beach is, when we got there for the session that evening, everything was definitely wet and there were ominous skies to the east of us but to the west was the most magical skies and sunset, and it was dry at that moment. I am so Thankful I was able to provide this incredible couple an epic session and cross off a bucket list location.
